You are invited to do well by doing good!

You are invited to do well by doing good!

The Edward Gorey Charitable Trust is pleased to announce its second annual silent auction, open now and running until 8:30 p.m. (ET) July 31, in conjunction with our 2024 Cocktail Party Fundraiser at the Rare Book Room of The Strand in Manhattan. The auction features rare books, signed ephemera, and original art by – as well as personal effects of – Edward Gorey, from a drawing of Lizzie Borden to one of Mr. Gorey's own art pens. All tickets to the event include access to the auction. For those unable to attend in person, online-only auction tickets are available for $30.

A list of the 20 auction items and four additional “buy it now” items may be found at  https://events.handbid.com/auctions/the-edward-gorey-charitable-trust-summer-cocktail-party/items.

The Trust is currently posting closer looks at a number of the lots on its Instagram page at  https://www.instagram.com/edwardgoreytrust/

Tickets for both the in-person event and online-only auction are available at https://handbid.app.link/Gorey2024.

All proceeds of the auction will benefit the operations of the Edward Gorey Charitable Trust and the animal welfare organizations it supports.
