Source Title
Description Dr. A. S. W. Rosenbach was perhaps the greatest antiquarian book seller of the 20th century. He published Americana catalogues from 1905 to 1951. But he was in no way limited to Americana. The breadth and intensity of his catalogues testifies to his extraordinary grasp of a broad range of material.

Those interested in reading what is perhaps the best written book on an American book dealer are encouraged to locate (try any dealer or online listing site) a copy of Rosenbach: A biography by Edwin Wolf, 2nd, and John Fleming. There is also a museum in Philadelphia, the Rosenbach Museum that is well worth a visit.
Scope of Text We include those catalogues that are in the Americana field. Because Dr. Rosenbach's career was so long it is important to note the date of any catalogue references you find. They date from 1905 and extend into the early 1950s.
