Source Title Extraordinary Collection of Americana comprising the principal part of the famous Chrsitie-Miller Collection
Description The great collecting polymath, Mr. Henry E. Huntington, first purchased the entire contents of the Americana portion of the Christie-Miller Collection as it was to go to auction in London. Mr. Huntington then extracted perhaps 50 items for his collection and consigned the balance to sell in New York at this sale. America has no equal in the 20th century to the exceptional commitment and dedication Mr. Huntington brought to this passion.

This is in fact one of many exceptional sales of material Mr. Huntington consigned to auction to clear up his duplicates and dispose of copies not quite up to his demanding standards.
