Dirk Soulis began his career assisting other auctioneers and later operated an antique shop. In 1997, he opened the Great Plains Gallery to conduct auctions, which he runs with his wife, Sue. The firm specializes in fine arts, antiques, and rare collectibles. Material is sourced from estates, families, museums, banks and attorneys, and auctions are promoted to a national audience through catalogues, advertising, press releases, and mailings.
