Source Title
Description Old World Auctions was founded in 1977 in Sedona, Arizona, as a small, by mail auction. Operated by Curt and Marti Griggs, it specializes in map, atlases, and decorative graphics from the 14th through the 20th century.

Old World is still a "virtual" auction in the sense that it does not operate a live floor. However, it has grown from auctioning by mail alone to accepting bids by internet, telephone, and fax. As the large number of listings displays, the firm is one of the largest specialty auctions in America.
