Source : Keys Fine Arts Auctioneers

Source Title
Description Keys Auctions was formed in 1953 by Geoffrey Key, and its history is different from most firms which sell books and art. Key started by opening a livestock market in the town of Aylsham, County of Norfolk, in the East Anglia region of the U.K. He quickly began selling from estates and soon found a large market for art. By 1960, a separate department had been formed for fine art.

Keys has become a major estate agency in its region, dealing in commercial and investment property and offering professional services such as surveying. Meanwhile, the art and estate auction business has continued to grow with books now becoming a large part of the items sold.
